Red River Gorge National Geological Area - Magnificant natural area in the Daniel Boone National Forest is a national natural landmark with fabulous views. Sculpted by wind and water, the Gorge has over 100 natural stone arches that may be seen from 60 miles of scenic hiking trails. (606) 663-2852

Grays Arch - scenic Red River Gorge area of the Daniel Boone National Forest. Beautiful natural arch is 50 ft. high and 80 ft. long. Extends off the end of a cliff and forms a buttress. Picnic area with toilets where the trail to the arch begins. (606) 663-2852

Natural Bridge - Martin's Fork Trail - provides access to the Daniel Boone Hut trail and the Tunnel Ridge Road. (606) 663-28252.

Rock Bridge - is a natural wonder that spans the Swift Creek in Red River Gorge. Favorite hiking destination. Scenic overlooks are in the area for viewing the Swift Camp Creek Gorge. Self-guided interpretive loop trail leads from the picnic area parking lot to the arch. (606) 663-2852

Sheltowee Trace Suspension Bridge - The suspension footbridge connects the trail over the Red River. Part of the Sheltowee Trace passes through the Red River Gorge. (606) 663-2852.

Sky Bridge - Magnificant views of the Clifty Wilderness and is one of the most accessible arches in the Red River Gorge. This impressive solid rock span is 75 ft. long and 23 ft. high with two connected openings. Picnic area with toilets nearby. (606) 663-2852

Courthouse Rock - Stairs descend to the bottom of this rock in the the Red River Gorge. At the end of the strenuous Courthouse Rock Trail #202, which leads to the base of the rock. (606) 663-2852

Double Arch - Series of steps leads up to this formation in the Red River Gorge. Major arch with a thin arch above the first one. Trail leading to the top is one the right by taking Auxier Branch Trail #203. (606) 663-2852

Haystack Rock - Dome shaped rock in the Red River Gorge resembles an old time haystack. (606) 663-2852

Raven's Rock - Striking rock formation can be seen from the Auxier Ridge Trail and from Hwy 77 near the Iron Bridge. (606) 663-2852

Angel Windows - Area has large recess caves in the Red River Gorge. (606) 663-2852

Castle Arch - Massive rugged arch is different from most other arches in the Red River Gorge, in that it has rough edges. No official trail to the arch. (606) 663-2852

Chimney Top Rock - Resembles a large chimney, this rock formation in the Red River Gorge rises 900 ft. above the valley, providing magnificant views from the top. (606) 663-2852

Creation Falls - beautiful waterfall in the Red River Gorge located near Rock Bridge at Swift Camp Creek. (606) 663-2852

Halfmoon Arch & Rock - interesting arch and rock in the Red River Gorge. No official trail. (606) 663-2852

Hidden Arch - Small sandstone buttress type formation arch is located in an area of the Red River Gorge abundant with mixed pine and hardwoods. (606) 663-2852

Princess Arch - Measures 32 ft. long and 8 ft. high, this arch in the Red River Gorge is easily reached from Princess Arch Trail. (606) 663-2852

Silvermine Arch - sandstone conglomerate arch in the Red River Gorge is reached by steep stairs from Silvermine Arch Trail. Area is abundant with mountain laurel, alternate leaf dogwood, big leaf magnolia and rhododendron. (606) 663-2852

Whistling Arch - When the wind blows through this arch formation, it make a whistling sound. (606) 663-2852

Nada Tunnel - gateway to the Red River Gorge. The tunnel measures 13 x 12 x 900' Constructed to haul logs via narrow gauge railroad from timber operations in the gorge. Rock and dirt were removed by dynamite, steam drills, and hand tools. The first load of logs became jammed in the tunnel and had to be dynamited free. It was enlarged to accomodate the large logs common to the area. (606) 553-2852.
